Desperate housewives listen up. Do you feel like your work is never done? Do you go from chore to chore and never seem to accomplish your to do list? Do you cook dinner with a child on your hip and find yourself hiding in the laundry room to get some peace and quiet? Some household chores monopolize your time which means you don’t have the availability to do anything else.

I set out to do something for me each time I began a household chore.  Using comet series headsets allowed me to talk on the telephone with an old friend while folding laundry.  Since I never get time during the day to just sit on the couch and make a phone call, I decided the laundry room was quiet enough and takes me long enough to chat on the phone while fluffing and folding the eight loads sitting on the counter.

While the kids go outside to play, I pick up my cell phone and calendar and make doctor’s appointments and schedule vendors to our home to care for our lawn, weeds and pest control. Having cellular phone accessories and the calendar, I can take the hour outside and accomplish tasks the usually litter my to-do list. Getting housework done takes away from my time with my family so I am on a mission to get things done so when the house is quiet, I can enjoy the silence.
