I Miss the Good Old Days

I do miss the good old days and not just because everything is slick and well crafted these days, leaving behind the collapsible koozies and stadium cups of my youth, but because everyone has adopted the persona that their slick new utilities and equipment carry around with them as well. It is disappointing sometimes to see just how often people are willing to write off their friends and family for the sake of style and efficiency. It is no wonder that so many of us have stress related diseases eating away at our bodies.
But, it isn’t just about leaving the beer koozies in the kitchen cabinet, it’s about learning how to talk to one another civilly and truly mean everything you say to them. If I knew every month where my money and time were going to go, I probably wouldn’t worry so much about myself, but I never do and so even I fall into the same cycle of ignoring those around me in favor of making sure I’ve taken care of myself. Regardless, there are some things in life that probably will never change. I can do my part and be more social, but I surely can’t force others to do the same.
