One of the things that you may realize during the summer is that your house has too much stuff in it. With the kids home from school and everyone spending more time at the house, we often start to notice that the house is crowded with junk that we don’t need. Now’s as good a time as any to get rid of those things so that we can have more space while everyone is home and make room to add new things as we need them.

This could be because it’s been outgrown or it might be because the winter season passed and you realized that you were never going to use this stuff. Most people get rid of their used items by selling them at yard sales but it’s difficult to sell things like kids snowboard jackets in the summer when no one is thinking about making winter purchases.

Your best bet for resale of winter items during the summer is to seek out specialty stores that buy gently used winter products. These places will make purchases in the summer and store them until next winter when they can put them up for sale. Alternatively, you may send out an email to everyone you know letting people know that you’ve got winter stuff for sale cheap since it’s the summer. Don’t keep that stuff hanging around and crowding you; someone will buy it from you if you’re proactive about selling it.
