Frustrated with Local Gold Prices

Just like many seniors, I am on a fixed pension that doesn’t quite meet my needs. In my case, it is really my medication that is the problem, but without it I wouldn’t live very long. So, I have had to face the fact that I needed to find some money somewhere to pay for the pills that were going to keep me alive.
For the first few years of retirement, I used my savings to supplement my income when my pension wasn’t quite enough. But they didn’t last long and then I found myself at a point where I didn’t know what I could do.
I talked to my son and he suggested that I could sell the gold jewelry that I had collected over the years to pay my medical bills. I thought that it would be a good idea, so I collected a small bag full and headed down to the local goldsmith to see what they would give me.
As it turns out, the guy tried to rip me off, so I was very frustrated with the price they were going to give me. In fact, he was going to offer me less than a third of the market value, which would mean that I could only buy pills for a few years, when really I needed a better solution.
Turning to my son for advice, he suggested that I sell the jewelry online as most of the buyers on the Internet offered fairer prices. I checked it out, and he was right. There was a company that was going to give me a reasonable amount of money that would allow me to buy the pills I needed for many years to come.
I am so glad that I raised such a smart boy – I don’t know what I would have done without him.
