I Need Help with My Floor Plans
Posted by Profiteer on 04/26/09 in Real Estate
I am working on some floor plans for the home we are building in the country. This is our dream home, the home that we have worked years to build together. I have hired a professional to handle all of the design work, but I want this home to be as much my own as possible. This is not the type of home that will be sold in a few years, but a home that will be passed down for generations. I’ve done my homework and found the advantages of building a home.
Now, the questions I have are very specific and I have talked with my architect about some of the goals I have. The cost investment just keeps going up no matter how much I think I am being frugal. How do you save money building a home? Is it better to invest in a home that has everything that you want or to leave a few of the lesser important things out? We have the ability to get a construction loan, but I do not want to get too carried away. It can be very challenging to balance everything that I want! I am hoping to find others who can share their input on house plans.
