I am interested in getting services from a professional debt consultant. My personal and business finances are both a mess right now. I don’t even want to talk about how icky my taxes are. I don’t think that I can deal with these financial issues on my own. Hiring someone who really has knowledge about debt consulting services seems like a worthwhile cost to me.

I’m not quite sure how to go about choosing a debt consultant. I do know that I need someone who understands both personal and business finance issues. I need someone who can do a business debt reduction for me because it’s my business loans that are particularly tough for me to pay off. And I need someone who understands taxes for freelancers.

I guess that I just need to make a list of all of the things that I need (like the ones that I’ve just listed above). Then I can start calling different debt consultants and asking them about their experience with these different needs that I have. I may not be very good with my finances but I’ve always been good at hiring people to help me in my work. I should be able to choose a good debt consultant once I get started.

And I’m only partly talking about a business plan.  Yes, a business plan is great because it’s a formal way of getting a plan onto paper, but if you don’t require financing, you can have a successful plan and not have it in business plan format.

The reason why entrepreneurs are encouraged to develop business plans is because they give a small business guidance and ensure that the business owner has considered pitfalls that could result in their business’s failure.  Most small businesses don’t last outside a few years, so it is incredibly important to know where you are going and how you plan on getting there.  But again, it doesn’t have to be in the form of a tradition business plan, as long as the form it is in gets the job done.
