Which Type of Health Insurance is Best For Me?
Posted by Trueps on 11/18/08 in Health
I recently moved out of my parent’s house because I finished school and I am working full time. I have a cute little Fort Lauderdale apartment that I share with a roommate and I don’t really have a lot of assets as of yet. However, for my college graduation my aunt paid for a visit to a financial advisor and they warned me that I needed better insurance. I had auto and renters insurance at minimum limits and they helped me to find the right level of coverage I needed. However, they were particularly concerned that I didn’t have health coverage, they wanted me to review what kind of medical insurance Florida offered in my area.
I really didn’t know anything about health insurance and didn’t see why I needed it. I felt like it was kind of unnecessary because I am young and I probably won’t get sick. However, the adviser showed me how financially catastrophic it can be if I don’t have some kind of Florida health insurance. I never really thought about the types of things that can happen regardless of a person’s age. The advisor suggested I talk with an insurance broker to decide which type of plan is best for me. I found a really great site that explained everything rather clearly and gave me the coverage available for Fort Lauderdale health insurance.
I am glad my aunt sent me to that adviser even though it seemed like a unique gift at the time, it ended up being more valuable than most of the gifts I got.
