More Combat Play

I’d like to get this out of the way real quick, so I can focus on the important stuff.

Getting shot by these airsoft guns hurts-a lot, regardless of the speed setting.  Like, a lot more than my old bb guns.  You shouldn’t be able to just take these out on the street without some heavy duty training on safety.

All the same, though, it was tons of fun.  It was like playing Star Wars Battlefront, only in real life.  And since there was no real chance of dying, I got to do all the silly stuff from Battlefront that I hear you’re not supposed to do in real life war, like the combat roll.  If only there was a Jedi option…

I digress.

It was definitely a different feeling that just squeezing off a few rounds at the range.  Even though the weapons weren’t real, it was actually a little more exhilarating because of the competitive aspect.

Just holding the airsoft AK47 frame of the KWA was a rush.  You know, I don’t know about everybody else, but I never expected my self to be out there shooting a rifle at people.  And when I ran out of ammo on the AK, and switched to my Tokyo Marui and shot the guy with the flag, I may have been more excited than I’ve ever been in my life.

The rifle was the best, though, and I’m itching to go back and try some more of the KWA guns, maybe even the custom gun I’ve had my eye on.
