If I wanted to go to cooking school, the first thing that I would do would be to search through the different Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts programs that exist. That’s because even though I don’t know a whole lot about culinary school, I know the Le Cordon Bleu name. I also know that the people who I would want to hire me will know that name. It’s a no-brainer that I’d want to go to a culinary program that would let me get a good job.

Determining which program to go to, though, might be a little more difficult. The first thing I would do is narrow down the areas I want to go to school in. There’s no point in looking at Portland culinary arts programs if I want to go to school on the East Coast. Likewise, there’s no point in seeing about the Culinary Arts Programs in Boston if I know that I want to be in a place with warm weather all year round.

After narrowing that down, I would go check out the schools that were left on my list. It’s important to actually check out what a school is like before you decide to go to school there. Sure, the basic programs at Le Cordon Bleu schools will all be the same. But by meeting some of the instructors, seeing the kitchens and dining at the nearby restaurants you can really get a better sense of the school that is right for you.
